What is a Mansard Loft Conversion?

A mansard loft conversion is similar to dormer loft conversion in that it protrudes from the roof-line, but the key difference is that mansard loft conversions have an upper slope to the roof. This slope meets the apex of your existing roof-line, giving you the benefit of extra living space beyond the conventional dormer type loft conversion.

Benefits of a Mansard Loft Conversion

Due to the changes that need to be made to the roof shape and structure, mansard loft conversions will most probably require planning permission. At Taylor Made Loft Conversions, we can arrange the necessary paperwork for you, so you can enjoy the process of your new room being built. The benefits of mansard lofts include a massive amount of space, and due to the variety of buildings this type of conversion works with, it has become one of the most popular types.
