What is a Dormer Conversion?

Dormer loft conversions extend the existing roof, allowing for additional floor space and headroom within the loft. Dormer loft conversions protrude from the slope of the roof-line, normally at the rear of the property, and there are a number of different styles available. The UK’s most popular dormer conversion is a flat roof dormer which offers a large amount of new space.

The Pros of a Dormer Conversion

The main benefit of a dormer conversion is the amount of space it allows for. By creating a flat roof section that juts out from the main part of the roof, the new room is made as a square shape rather than having diagonal walls. This adds a new aesthetic as well as a practical space for a range of room types – from bathrooms to studies!
